How much do I use?
Read the pack - the manufacturer states the use rate and we do not restate it here, because powdered colour is concentrated and the correct amount differs between products. As a general matter powdered colour is far stronger by weight than the liquid colours sold in supermarket bottles, so a measure taken from a liquid recipe will be wrong. Follow the directions on the packaging.
What colouring agents are in it?
The ingredient list on the pack, which names the colours used and normally their INS numbers. Those numbers are the accurate way to identify what is in a colouring, and they are the manufacturer's statement rather than ours. Is a one-kilogram pack meant for home baking?
